AVTECH recommends regularly checking that your Room Alert Monitors are running\u00a0the most recent firmware version.<\/p>\n

Your Room Alert Monitor\u2019s current firmware version appears in several places:<\/p>\n

\u2013 In the Room Alert Monitor’s web interface<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2013 In Device ManageR<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2013 In the Device Discovery utility<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/strong>In the Room Alert Monitor’s web interface<\/h3>\n

The best place to view your unit’s firmware version is directly on the unit’s web interface. To do so,\u00a0follow these steps:<\/p>\n

1. Open\u00a0your Room Alert Monitor\u2019s web interface.\u00a0You may open the interface using Device Discovery or Device ManageR, or by typing the IP address of the unit directly into the address bar of your web browser.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. You\u2019ll see the firmware version displayed on the right side of the Status<\/em> page header,\u00a0as shown\u00a0below:<\/p>\n

– If you click on the firmware version, a dialog box will appear, letting you know if your firmware is current:<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/strong>In Device ManageR<\/h3>\n

To view your firmware version in Device ManageR, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

1. Open Device ManageR in your browser.\u00a0You may open it by entering ‘localhost:8080’ or ‘<IP address of host system>:8080’ in your browser’s address bar.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Select Device Status<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left of the screen.<\/p>\n

3. A\u00a0list of discovered devices appears.\u00a0Next to each device name, the firmware version appears.<\/p>\n

4. You may also select a unit from the list to see the firmware version in the main viewing pane to the right.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/strong>In the Device Discovery utility<\/h3>\n

To view your firmware version in Device Discovery, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

1. Open AVTECH Device Discovery.\u00a0You may find it in your Windows system typically through the default path, C:\\Program Files\\AVTECH Device Discovery Utility or C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AVTECH Device Discovery Utility.<\/p>\n

2. Select Search<\/strong> to bring up a list of discovered devices.<\/p>\n

3. You\u2019ll see the firmware version of all units in the fourth column under Version<\/em>.<\/p>\n
