In Room Alert Account, \"\" tags<\/strong> are customizable labels that you can apply to devices and alerts, making it easy to organize and manage your data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think of tagging as a way to group items or sort them into virtual folders based on criteria that matter to you\u2014such as physical location, criticality, or responsible team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once tags are applied, you can filter device and alert lists accordingly and even save those filters as “Saved Searches,” allowing you to quickly access different views of your data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tagging Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Follow these steps to tag device(s) or alert(s):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. First, find the item(s) you wish to tag within the Devices <\/em>list or Alerts<\/em> list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select the checkbox beside the desired device(s) or alert(s).\n
      \n
    • You may filter the list on various criteria and use the bulk checkbox above the list to select items in bulk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Select the tag icon \"\" above the list to open the Update Tags<\/em> modal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Select any tags from the list that you wish to apply.\n
        \n
      • The list includes some default tags: Critical <\/em>and Warning<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • To create a brand new tag, first type the desired tag into the Search <\/em>field. Then, toward the bottom of the modal, select Create tag<\/strong> “…”<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Once you’ve selected your tag(s), click Apply Changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Tags can also be created through the Guidance \u2192 Tags<\/em> page (see below for instructions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Tags can also be applied to alerts from within the Create Alert <\/em>form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Managing Tags<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Follow these steps to tag device(s) or alert(s):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. First, navigate to the Guidance <\/strong>\u2192 <\/em>Tags <\/strong>page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Here, you’ll see a list of all the tags saved to your account, including the default tags: Critical <\/em>and Warning<\/em>.\n
            \n
          • Beside each tag is a count of the number of alerts and devices associated with that tag.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Clicking on a count opens the corresponding list with the tag applied as a filter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • From this page, you may edit or delete any tags. You may also create new tags that you later associate with device(s) and\/or alert(s).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
