Open your Room Alert Monitor&#8217;s web interface. You may open the interface using Device Discovery, Device ManageR, or your account at <a href=\"http:\/\/roomalert.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RoomAlert.com<\/a>. You may also type the IP address of the unit directly into the address bar of your web browser.<\/p>\n<p>2. Select\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u00a0in the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n<p>3. Then select <strong>Sensors<\/strong>\u00a0from the options below <em>Settings<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0On the Room Alert 3 Wi-Fi, navigate to the <strong>Alert Options<\/strong> &#8211;&gt;<strong>\u00a0Sensors\u00a0<\/strong>page.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Navigation-Bar-Settings-Sensors.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2527\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Navigation-Bar-Settings-Sensors-173x300.png\" alt=\"Navigation Bar -- Settings--Sensors\" width=\"150\" height=\"260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Navigation-Bar-Settings-Sensors-173x300.png 173w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Navigation-Bar-Settings-Sensors.png 251w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. In the <em>Sensor Settings<\/em> page, scroll down to the <em>Switch Sensor Settings<\/em> section and then find your sensor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; If you&#8217;ve named the sensor, you can find it by name.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Otherwise, you can find it by number: if you&#8217;ve connected your switch sensor to the first switch port, look for Switch Sen 1; if you connected it to the second switch port, look for <em>Switch Sen 2<\/em>, etc.<\/p>\n<p>5. Select the <strong>Alarm On<\/strong> drop-down menu for your sensor. You&#8217;ll see a list with the following options:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Open<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Closed<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Disabled<\/p>\n<p>6. To generate an alarm (and change the Status page appearance to a red X) when the switch goes into an OPEN state, select <strong>Open<\/strong> from the drop-down list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Alarm-On-OPEN.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2526\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Alarm-On-OPEN.png\" alt=\"Alarm On OPEN\" width=\"600\" height=\"152\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Alarm-On-OPEN.png 1446w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Alarm-On-OPEN-300x76.png 300w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Alarm-On-OPEN-1024x259.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>7. Select <strong>Save Settings<\/strong>\u00a0at the top or bottom of the screen.
