Along with the security measures&nbsp;built into our Room Alert &#8216;S&#8217; models, there are additional settings that you may apply in order to maximize security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set&nbsp;a password on your Room Alert Monitor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend customizing the password for your Room Alert Monitor settings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/2438\/set-reset-password-room-alert-monitor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Set (Or Reset) A Password On A Room Alert Monitor<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable HTTPS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For a more secure local web interface, you can enable your Room Alert to use HTTPS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/17208\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Enable Your Room Alert \u2018S\u2019 Model To Use HTTPS<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable SNMPv3 <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are monitoring your Room Alert device via SNMP, we recommend using v3 at the security level: <em><strong>with both authentication and privacy<\/strong><\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/18541\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How To Configure SNMPv3 On Your Room Alert 32S, 12S &amp; 3S<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disable Trace<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Room Alert devices have a tracing feature that can be used for troubleshooting purposes.
