(Room Alert Discovery cannot perform firmware updates on Room Alert MAX at this time.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike Room Alert Manager, the discovery utility only scans for devices when initiated by a user. To initiate a device scan, first select the <strong>Find Devices<\/strong> button.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1467\" height=\"1007\" class=\"wp-image-27590\" style=\"width: 1024w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/RAD_FindDevices-768x527.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1467px) 100vw, 1467px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This will open the <em>Find Room Alert Monitors <\/em>window, as shown below.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"751\" height=\"670\" class=\"wp-image-27592\" style=\"width: 400px;\" 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>Automatically By Network Interface<\/em> section of the window, your computer&#8217;s NICs are listed.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"544\" height=\"151\" class=\"wp-image-27593\" style=\"width: 275px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/RAD_AutomaticallyByNetworkInterface.png\" alt=\"\" https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/RAD_AutomaticallyByNetworkInterface-300x83.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 544px) 100vw, 544px\" \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Scanning each NIC is enabled by default. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may disable a NIC if you don&#8217;t want the utility to scan it for devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>Manually By IP Address<\/em> section of the window, you can specify single IP addresses or ranges of IP addresses to scan for devices.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"617\" height=\"148\" class=\"wp-image-27594\" sizes=\"(max-width: 617px) 100vw, 617px\" \/>\n<ul>\n<li>To do so, first choose either <strong>Single <\/strong>or <strong>Range <\/strong>from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next enter the IP address or range that you wish to scan.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"744\" height=\"221\" class=\"wp-image-27595\" style=\"width: 350px;\" https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/RAD_AddRange-300x89.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 744px) 100vw, 744px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then select <strong>Add to Scan<\/strong>.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"94\" height=\"31\" class=\"wp-image-22808\" style=\"width: 90px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/RAD_FindRAMonitors_AddToScan.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may add as many IP addresses or ranges to this list as you&#8217;d like.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"744\" height=\"305\" class=\"wp-image-27596\" style=\"width: 350px;\" leave the default value, 30, or enter another timeout value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you&#8217;re ready to begin scanning for devices, select <strong>Start Scan<\/strong>.<br><img decoding=\"async\"
