However, if you are unable to discover your Room Alert monitor automatically or with the software\u2019s manual discovery feature, you may find push to be the best fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to configure &#8220;Push to Room Alert Manager&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To use <em>Push to Room Alert Manager<\/em>, there are settings to configure in both the Room Alert Monitor and the Room Alert Manager software. Please see the tabs below:<\/h5>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-accordion su-u-trim\">\n\n\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"configure_room_alert\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Configure your Room Alert Monitor<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n\n\n\n<p>To configure your Room Alert monitor to push to the Room Alert Manager software, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open your Room Alert Monitor\u2019s web interface by typing its IP address directly into the address bar of your web browser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Settings<\/strong> in the navigation bar to the left.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Advanced<\/strong> in the menu that appears below Settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em>Advanced Settings<\/em> page, locate the <strong>Room Alert Manager<\/strong> section.<br>*<em>The options you see below will vary depending on the Room Alert model.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <em><strong>Room Alert Manager<\/strong><\/em> section of the page:<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"938\" height=\"462\" class=\"wp-image-21618\" style=\"width: 500px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RA_S_PushToRAM.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RA_S_PushToRAM.png 938w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RA_S_PushToRAM-300x148.png 300w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RA_S_PushToRAM-768x378.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 938px) 100vw, 938px\" \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Select <strong>Enable push<\/strong> <strong>to Room Alert Manager<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <em>Push Interval<\/em>, you may leave the default, <strong>1&nbsp;minute<\/strong>, or choose a larger time interval from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>(&#8216;S&#8217; models only) <\/em>In <em>Protocol,<\/em> leave the default, HTTP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <em>Server Host,<\/em> enter the IP address or hostname of the computer that Room Alert Manager is installed on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In <em>Server Port<\/em>, you may leave the default, 9393, unless you have changed Room Alert Manager&#8217;s HTTP port to&nbsp;another number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>(&#8216;S&#8217; models only)<\/em> In <em>Path<\/em>, leave the default, &#8220;\/api\/v1\/device-data\/push.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Save Settings<\/strong> at the bottom of the page. Your Room Alert Monitor will automatically reboot and commit your changes.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"205\" height=\"66\" class=\"wp-image-21381\" style=\"width: 125px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/RAM_SaveChanges.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-anchor=\"configure_device_manager\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>Configure the Room Alert Manager software<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n\n\n\n<p>When a Room Alert monitor pushes to the Room Alert Manager software, the software will automatically stop attempting to discover it with automatic discovery (UPD broadcast) or manual discovery (TCP scan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol id=\"block-c6bc3234-fd83-4b67-8add-6bf80073caf3\">\n<li>Open Room Alert Manager in your web browser.\n<ul>\n<li>You may open it by entering \u2018localhost:9393\u2019 or \u2018&lt;IP address of host system&gt;:9393\u2019 in your browser\u2019s address bar. You can then choose to <em>Switch to Automatic Discovery <\/em>or<em> Manual Discovery<\/em>.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"346\" height=\"167\" class=\"wp-image-21722\" style=\"width: 200px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_SwitchDiscoveryFromPush.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_SwitchDiscoveryFromPush.png 346w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/RAM_SwitchDiscoveryFromPush-300x145.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 346px) 100vw, 346px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If Room Alert Manager receives any additional sensor data pushes from the device, it will appear in this list again. (To prevent this, make sure the <em>Push to Room Alert Manager<\/em> feature has been disabled in the device&#8217;s web interface.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may also edit the <em>Missed Push Threshold<\/em> from the default, 3, if you wish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you&#8217;re done making changes, select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.<br><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"205\" height=\"66\" class=\"wp-image-21381\" style=\"width: 125px;\" src=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/RAM_SaveChanges.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div> <\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What triggers a push from your Room Alert monitor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This feature pushes&nbsp;sensor data to your installation of Room Alert Manager at scheduled intervals (as low as 1 minute) and under the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>When your unit first boots (and every time it reboots).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When an external digital sensor is first connected or disconnected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When your unit\u2019s internal or an external temperature sensor reading rises or falls by 2 whole degree Celsius.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When your unit\u2019s internal or an external humidity sensor reading rises or falls by 5 percent relative humidity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When any switch sensor on your unit changes state from open to closed (and vice versa).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When a Digital Active Power sensor reading changes from Power Detected to No Power Detected (and vice versa).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Room Alert S models only<\/em>: When a Digital Extreme Temperature Sensor detects a fault.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When your unit\u2019s built-in or an external analog sensor rises or falls by 0.25 volts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When any Light Tower or relay is manually toggled on\/off.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Room Alert 32 only<\/em>: when the power status changes from Main Power to Battery Backup (and vice versa).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When a threshold you&#8217;ve set on the Room Alert Monitor&#8217;s <em>Settings&nbsp;<\/em>\u2192 <em>Sensors<\/em> page is exceeded (and when that condition clears).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Typically, you will not need to enable push to Room Alert Manager in your Room Alert monitor.
