You can use this option if your Device ManageR writes to the default&nbsp; embedded H2-type database that comes with the program.<\/li><li>By default, Device ManageR\u2019s installation folder is:<ul><li>C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AVTECH Device ManageR (on 64-bit Windows computers)<\/li><li>C:\\Program Files\\AVTECH Device ManageR (on 32-bit Windows computers)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>A custom folder that you put together than has just the required files from Device ManageR v6.3.6.<ul><li>You must use this option if you configured your Device ManageR to write to an external database (MySQL, SQL Server or Postgres).<\/li><li>Please note that Room Alert Manager currently only supports its own embedded database. It does not support external databases.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For instructions for the custom folder, please see our FAQ, <a href=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/19679\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How to Make a Custom Device ManageR Folder for the Room Alert Manager Import Tool<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\" data-anchor-in-url=\"no\"><div class=\"su-spoiler-title\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"su-spoiler-icon\"><\/span>The software you need<\/div><div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n\n\n\n<p>You need the following software for the import:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li>Your existing Device ManageR installation, which must be on v6.3.6 before you begin.<\/li><li>The latest version of the Device-ManageR-to-Room-Alert-Manager Import Tool.<\/li><li>The latest version of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/account.roomalert.com\/downloads\" target=\"_blank\">Room Alert Manager<\/a>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Device ManageR v6.3.6<ul><li>Available on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/account.roomalert.com\/downloads\/legacy\" target=\"_blank\">Legacy tab of the Downloads page<\/a>.<\/li><li>Requires a Personal (or higher) level account.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Device-ManageR-to-Room-Alert-ManageR Import Tool<ul><li>Available in Room Alert Manager&#8217;s Installation Directory.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Room Alert Manager<ul><li>Available on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/account.roomalert.com\/downloads\" target=\"_blank\">Downloads page<\/a>.<\/li><li>Requires a Professional (or higher) level account.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#bcc7cd;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#d6e1e7;border-color:#ffffff;color:#000612;border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px;\">\n\n\n\n<p>If your Device ManageR is on a lower version, update to v6.3.6 before you begin. Some things you will have to type in yourself. For example, if Room Alert Manager is installed on a different computer than the Import Tool, you will have to type out the IP address or computer name of that system.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\"><li>After you enter the last answer, a summary of your choices will appear.
