Download the Device ManageR installer from your account at <a href=\"https:\/\/roomalert.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RoomAlert.com<\/a>. This FAQ shows you how: <a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/51\/download-firmware-software-roomalert-com-account\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">How to Download Firmware and Software from Your RoomAlert.com Account<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Once the download completes, click on the <em>DeviceManageR-x.x.x-windows-installer.exe<\/em> file to start the installer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3. Follow the on-screen prompts,* which will lead you through the installation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3053\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_1.png\" alt=\"ADM_Installer_1\" width=\"450\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_1.png 506w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_1-300x224.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">4. Once the installation process has completed, Device ManageR will automatically open in your web browser at localhost:8080.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">*Updating from v5.7.2 or lower &#8211; Special Note<\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">If you are updating Device ManageR from v5.7.2 or lower, a prompt will appear during the installation giving you a choice to update your database. (If you are updating from 6.0.0+, you will not get this prompt.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_DBUpgrade.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3055\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_DBUpgrade.png\" alt=\"ADM_Installer_DBUpgrade\" width=\"350\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_DBUpgrade.png 484w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Installer_DBUpgrade-300x164.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; If you say &#8216;yes,&#8217; Device ManageR will update your database (your historical sensor and alert information) to the new, improved database type. When you open Device ManageR later in this process, you\u2019ll still be able to see your historical sensor and alert information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8211; If you say &#8216;no,&#8217; a back up copy will be made of your historical sensor and alert information, and a fresh, empty database will start. When Device ManageR opens, you won\u2019t be able to see your old, historical sensor and alert information.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a class=\"wpsal-anchor\" name=\"uninstalling_device_manager\" id=\"uninstalling_device_manager\"><\/a><\/strong>Uninstalling Device ManageR<\/h3>\n<p>If you wish to remove the program, or you&#8217;ve been instructed to do so by Technical Support, you may uninstall Device ManageR by following these steps. (Please note that it is typically not necessary to uninstall your old copy of Device ManageR before you update&#8211;you may simply follow the instructions above.)<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Part I &#8211; Removing the Program Using the Uninstaller<\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">1. To uninstall Device ManageR, navigate to <strong>Start<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>Control Panel<\/strong>&#8211;&gt;<strong>Programs &amp; Features<\/strong> in your Windows computer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">2. Locate <em>AVTECH Device ManageR<\/em> in the list of programs in the <em>Uninstall or change a program<\/em> window.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">3. Right click on <em>AVTECH Device ManageR<\/em> and select <strong>Uninstall\/Change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Uninstall_1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3056\" src=\"http:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Uninstall_1.png\" alt=\"ADM_Uninstall_1\" width=\"550\" height=\"228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Uninstall_1.png 803w, https:\/\/avtech.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/ADM_Uninstall_1-300x124.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">4. Select <strong>Yes<\/strong> to the confirmation dialog box.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">5. You\u2019ll then see a progress bar appear. Once it completes, select <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">6. When the &#8216;Uninstallation completed&#8217; message appears, select <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">7. You&#8217;ll then be instructed to restart your computer to complete the uninstallation of Device ManageR. To restart your computer now, you may select Yes in the dialog box.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Part II (Optional) &#8211; Manually Deleting Any Remaining Files<\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">After the uninstaller has run and you&#8217;ve restarted your computer, you\u2019ll still have an <em>AVTECH Device ManageR<\/em> folder in your C:\\ drive with several files in it, such as Device ManageR logs. (Files created after the original installation ran cannot be deleted by the uninstaller.) You may leave this folder there if you wish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">However, if you need to do a complete erase of all Device ManageR files, follow the instructions below. You may need to give yourself Windows Administrator privileges to do this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">1. Navigate to Device ManageR\u2019s installation folder, C:\\Program Files\\AVTECH Device ManageR or C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AVTECH Device ManageR by default.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">2. Delete the folder called <em>AVTECH Device ManageR<\/em>.
