If your organization’s Room Alert Account has been upgraded to the Professional level or higher, you may add any additional sensor readings to an email or text message alert notification.<\/p>\n

For example, if you have an alert set up to notify you if it gets too hot in your data center, you can also choose to display:<\/p>\n

– other nearby temperature and humidity readings
\n– the active\/inactive power state for the AC unit
\n– the open\/closed state for the data center door<\/p>\n

Below is an example of additional sensors included in an alert email.<\/h4>\n

<\/span>Step 1: Open your alert's interface.<\/div>
\n

Follow these steps to open the alert’s interface:<\/p>\n

1. Log in to your account at RoomAlert.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In order to edit parts of an alert, you must log in as an admin-level or operator-level user. For more information, please see the \u201cTypes of user roles\u201d section of our FAQ, How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. Select Alerts<\/strong> from the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n

3. In your Alert List<\/em> tab, you’ll see a list of all of your configured alerts. Click on an alert to open its interface.<\/p>\n

4. Here, you can configure advanced features.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Step 2: Add additional sensor readings to alert notifications.<\/div>

Follow these steps to add additional sensor readings to the alert notification:<\/p>\n

1. Select Options <\/strong>in the upper right corner of the alert interface.<\/p>\n

2. In the Alert Options<\/em> window, select Add Sensor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. In the Additional Sensors <\/em>dialog box, choose a device.<\/p>\n

4. Next choose a sensor.<\/p>\n

5. Then select Add Sensor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. Add as many device sensor pairs as you’d like.<\/p>\n

7. When you’re done, select Save Changes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In our example, when the \u201cExample RA12E Internal Sensor Alert\u201d alert is triggered, we\u2019ll receive a notification that includes readings from the following sensors:<\/p>\n

– Example RA12E  – Internal Sensor – Temperature
\n– Example RA3W – External Sensor – Active Power
