If your organization’s Room Alert Account has been upgraded to the Professional level\u00a0or higher, you can schedule “Quiet Times” for your actions. Quiet times silence alert notifications during specific days or times.<\/p>\n

For example, if you only want to be notified of an alert outside of business hours, you can set quiet times from approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Step 1: Open your alert's interface.<\/div>
\n

Follow these steps to\u00a0open the alert’s interface:<\/p>\n

1. Log in to your account at RoomAlert.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In order to edit parts of an alert, you must log in as an admin-level or operator-level user. For more information, please see the \u201cTypes of user roles\u201d section of our FAQ, How To Manage User Access To Your RoomAlert.com Account<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. Select Alerts<\/strong> from the navigation bar to the left.<\/p>\n

3. In your Alert List<\/em> tab, you’ll see a list of all of your configured alerts. Click on an alert to open its interface.<\/p>\n

4. Here,\u00a0you can\u00a0configure advanced features.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Step 2: Apply quiet times to an action.<\/div>
\n

Follow these steps to apply quiet times to your action:<\/p>\n

1. First, place your cursor over an action to pull up the delete, edit, and test\u00a0icons.<\/p>\n

2. Select the edit<\/strong>\u00a0icon to open\u00a0the\u00a0Modify Action<\/em> section.<\/p>\n

3. Then select the Schedule Quiet Times<\/strong>\u00a0check box.<\/p>\n

4. A default quiet time, Sunday 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, will be added to the list.<\/p>\n

5. Edit the Day<\/em>, Start<\/em> and End<\/em> times as desired.<\/p>\n

6. Use the Add Quiet Time<\/strong> button to add additional quiet times to the list.<\/p>\n

7. Then, select Save Changes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

8. In our example, if the alert is triggered during business hours — let’s say Tuesday at 2:00 PM — we will not receive a notification.<\/p>\n

– The alert will still trigger and will be listed in the Alert History, but the action won’t send.<\/p>\n

– Please note that quiet times silence “triggered,'” “ongoing” and “clear” notifications.<\/p>\n

Need to silence nighttime alerts?\u00a0One overnight period (which crosses midnight into the next morning) requires 2 separate quiet times. The first quiet time ends at 11:59 PM, and the second quiet time begins at 12:00 AM the next day.
